This is an old American wall clock, made by Ansonia, a company founded in 1854. Imported during the Meiji era, it was likely enjoyed in a mansion or Western-style house.
The classical and simple design is appealing, and the decadent, poetic beauty of the dial is also great. The slightly larger size is also striking and makes for a picturesque piece.
This watch has been fitted with a quartz movement. It can be used as an everyday watch.
I'd like to decorate the glass door at the bottom with my favorite objects and enjoy it.

†It shows signs of age, but is in good condition with a nice atmosphere.
†Maintenance completed, movement replaced with quartz. Comes with AA battery installed.
†The glass cover of the dial opens by slightly lifting it.
†Battery replacement and time setting are operated using the movement on the back of the dial. You can also replace the battery by removing the three Phillips head screws around the dial or by reaching in through the glass cover at the bottom.
