About us
We devote our days to engaging with beauty.
By focusing on small, seed-like moments scattered throughout everyday life, and by observing them through the perspective of what is beautiful, we present a vision of living that itself becomes a work of art.
MAISON GRAIN D’AILE
Artist: Shinsaku HARADA / Maki HARADA
MAISON GRAIN D’AILE began its activities in the autumn of 2000.
Since then, we have collected beautiful antique objects from around the world, primarily from France and Japan, and presented them through curated exhibitions.
Our work explores a world of antique aesthetics influenced by the spirit of the Cabinet de Curiosités and Surrealism—elements we have continuously expressed since the early days of our activity. Through restrained color palettes and narrative compositions, we have developed a distinctive and poetic style.
In 2015, we relocated our home and atelier to the shores of Lake Biwa, where we designed and built the House of MAISON GRAIN D’AILE.
Until December 2018, we operated a shop and gallery in Kitahama, Osaka, introducing objects that embody deeper artistic essence.
Today, we continue to present our works through our online store and solo exhibitions at galleries in various locations.
Updates on new arrivals and upcoming exhibitions are announced on our Instagram.
