These are French black glass buttons. Their deep black color, the slightly wavy texture of aged glass, and their substantial thickness are truly captivating. These chic and beautiful black glass buttons were popular from the 1800s to the 1900s. Because they are slightly larger than average, they are perfect not only as replacement buttons for thick cardigans, jackets, and coats, but also as clasps for necklaces and bracelets. The last two photos show a dress from our previously released REMAKE DRESS collection, which uses these buttons.
